travel europe italy liguria the cinque terre riomaggiore the beach

If you follow the walkway on the south side of the harbor up, past a restaurant on the point, around the bluff by the sea,
and around to the next inlet, you will come to a secluded but well used rocky beach.
On our 2017 trip, we spent a few hours here with the kids.
If you can negotiate the rocks, the water is pleasant and fairly calm.
There are a couple smooth rocks you can sit on in the surf.
On a sunny summer day, there are large crowds of people.
Through an opening in the bluff behind the beach, you can see and hear the train going through a tunnel.
